Thinner? Hmm... I compared both my KJW and WA to an actual Beretta 92FS, and I can tell you that in terms of dimensions, they are identical in every way to the real steel in terms of dimensions and details. Since the slide on KJW are compatible with TM slides (although internals are not), I'm assuming TM are also of real dimension as well. If the PTP is thinner, I'd venture to say that it's off from the real steel sizes, rather than being more realistic. I'd love to get my hands on a PTP model to check it out myself.

And I've been seriously considering ditching my TM P226 in favour of a 226 PTP. Full-metal goodness, über-realistic and 360+ fps stock. That's something I'd LOVE to get my hands on.

Crunch,

I know WA grips are thinner than Marui, I couldnt say id measured but they feel about the same as the PTP, so Id guess that they are real dimensions. And the 226 PTP, my boss has one, according to him its shooting a very consistent 335 on green. But ive held his, and seen him fielding it, and as with the M9 its a very nice pistol.

We did't measure the grips. My friend has Hogue grips on his real steel 92FS. What we did was removed the slides off the guns (real and airsoft) and took some quick measurements to see if sizes were correct, and they seemed to be.
