Need help with a Classic Army MP5 & G36 that is Not firing
Hi, recently i bought one Classic Army G36 and one MP5.
As soon as I got them I tested the guns with a small 8.4V 1100mAh China made battery that came with a AGM MP40 I bought in the past. First i tested the MP5, which only fired a couple of BBs and then stop firing and i could only hear a sound like tac tac, a very low sound. Then i tried the same battery on the G36 nothing happened and just made the same noise and didn't fire anything. I've ordered one intellect mini 8.4v 1400mah, but i still haven't got it here, and since I don't have any other small type battery to test I decided to make myself a connector that would allowed me to test the guns using a large 8.4v 3600 mAh battery as i have some of the large ones here. I used the connectors like the one on this link: http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...rod_id=EFLA245 I just had to change the large plug to a male one in order fit the battery female connector. Then i tested both guns with the large battery. The first time I tested the guns they worked for some time but then stop working after the plug I made got disconnected. I connect back the plug but again the g36 and mp5 didn't fire anything and just make the "tac tac" sound. One thing i also noted is that the guns connector and the cable I made become a little bit hot, even the ones in the small china battery and also if i disconnect the battery, then there is no ta tac sound anymore, so it seems it is connecting but just don't have enough power to power the guns. The small battery work just fine on the MP40 and I also tested the large batteries and they all work just fine on my Thompson, but I test connecting the battery to the Thompson without the connector I made. Also if i fully charge the small battery and put in the G36 and MP5 i can fire couple BBs in the G36 and more then that on the MP5. I would just like to know if this could be a problem with the classic army G36 and MP5 or is it more likely to be a problem with the cheapo battery that came with my MP40 OR a problem with the connector i made to connect the large battery. is it possible for a low quality cable like the ones i showed in the link not being able to send enough power from the battery to the gun? I know I should wait to get the intellect mini 8.4v in order to make sure, but i don't know how long it will take to get here and I need be sure there is no problem with the guns before the one week return policy is over in case there is a problem. Thank you in advance for your help Last edited by Cottoni; March 11th, 2008 at 04:53.. |

It sounds to me like the connector you made could be causing some problems. It's possible that the wires have some bad connections that are causing a lot of resistance (heating up and little power to the gun. I've found that airsoft guns require good clean connections to the battery to function properly.

It's the shitty MP40 battery. Read this: http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=54742
It was posted right below yours. |

But the weird thing is that both guns worked with the connector i made until the plug in the connector came apart and after that not working anymore. I'll see if i can find someone around my area with a mini battery so that i can test the guns. Thank you guys |

Ok, thanks guys, just got the intellect and the problem is solved.
It was in fact the same problem as 8thArmy was having: The cheap AGM MP40 battery cannot power a Classic Army. |

The stock batteries that come with most Chinese AEGs are pretty shitty. So far I'm not having any issues with my 2 JG batteries, but I know they will need to be replaced before the good batteries I have for my other guns.
