Sounds like his is made of foil, the spring in the mag isn't THAT strong to rebend a piece of steel a bit under a mm thick.

Just checked the spare in my parts bin, it's actually over 1mm thick, so it sounds like yours is possibly busted from over bending. Think about if it's worth it to you, to pull out the entire trigger assembly and hammer assembly just to get the slide to lock back properly. Weigh the two basically. YOu could fuck your gun more by going after that "slide releases when I put a fresh mag in" thing, my KSC MK23 does that as well, but a big deal to me. Slide popping off when yo urelease it with no mag is a pain, but not affecting the functioning of it, more affecting the unloading of it. Then again, some people prefer 100% from their guns, either for looks and functionality, I just want mine to shoot right because that's why I play airsoft, to shoot people. And I put functionality and reliability over cosmetic stuff, simply because I'm not a poser for pics above playing. I can deal with little quirks when the gun plants BBs every time on the other guys.
