My friend is having with the hopup in his challenge kit as well, I figure its better just to sell it and buy a complete G&P setup.

Stay on topic. This post is in the Doctors Corner and is not the place for a PTW vs. everything else you can afford discussion.

If you don't have something that is actually helpful, and the problem is still unresolved, your post is as impertinant as the usual drek in the OT section or trash bin.

This should be normal, as the spring under the bolt release will return it to the closed position when you drop your mag. Remember, the mag interlock pushes up on the bolt release. When you drop your mag, the tension difference between the bolt release and the switch is very small, with tension more on the side of the switch. The act of you slamming a mag in may well be enough to close the bolt release.

This can also happen in the real gun, but as a matter of habit, you should always tap the bolt release after inserting a fresh mag.
