CA36C MOTOR DEAD (i hope not) =/
Ok, I'm new to AC forums. IDK where else to look, google brought up no results.
I am having a problem with my Classic Army G36C. I have had a similar problem where the motor would click but no fire. The problem was a bb was jammed, so I used the unjammifier (lol) and it worked fine. Got the BB out. Now I am having a frightening problem- the motor won't even move. I checked several times for jammed bb's. Nothing. Its perfectly clear. I charged the battery again, and checked if it had a current detector and the battery is working fine. I used the current detector on the fuse also, and the wiring up to where it is exposed is fine. I am dreading that my motor is dead. Please help!! I really hope I did not have $300 go down the drain! If I need to open my gun, please give me instructions (or link me to a guide) and thell me what to look for. Thanks for reading this in advance!! |

You've ran the gun fine on that battery before, right? As in, actually fired several hundred round with it?

Oh yes. I've played in a few games. It was working fine up to a few days ago. I left it alone, then when I got my silencer, I wanted to do some before and after... I tried the before... and nothing. Not even a clicking motor :-?
thanks for the response! |

I should also add that it has never been opened (as in never disected). I made no changes before this happened, and it has never been abused... I babied my gun =]

Ok thanks for the response. I'll try that and watch the video's. I ordered 2 more batteries and a smart charger yesterday. Hopefully I'll get a result! (a good one...) I may open it up if I don't feel like a complete noob! lol
I will check back here more so keep posting if you have any possible solutions! Thanks! |

OK!! I watched the video's on mechbox, followed the exact instructions and got the gearbox out. I directly connected the battery and it fires fine. I just checked all the connections with my current detector and everything is fine. Im gonna reassemble it following the video and see if it was one of those random things. LOL

Interesting development. I tested the fuse wire and it works fine. The battery works fine directly connected, and the mech box rotates as if it was firing (phew) BUT when I connect the battery to the fuse to the mech box, it wont work.... But the device detects the proper current running through. Its probably the wire, but everything it it works. Any suggestions?

Yea I've heard about dry firing. I only did 2 shots... dont want to see some part flying out of my gun that I really never want to see out of there!! Ok, I think I've narrowed it down to the female tamiya connector on the fuse wire. The wires connecting to the head rotate in their socket, but none of the others don't. Got any idea on where I can buy replacement wires including the fuse socket? I dont want to rewire without the fuse because I do make mistatkes and leave the battery in overnight...
But seriously, thanks so much for your help! |

wow that's weird.
ok my guess is that somehow the gearbox is not getting the full intensity. this however doesn't make sense with the fuse working... oh, maybe you're having some current shorting somewhere through the whole gearbox.I had that problem recently. check if the gearbox frame is somehow connected to any pole (like the motor's poles, or if some soldering runs on the gearbox metal ) and then check if it's not shorting with the other pole. this would severely drain the power... oops i'm 2 posts late sorry |

this, for me, is another demonstration of how a fuse is anti-useful (!) on a EAG, but it's only my opinion.

Thanks Jimski and M120240 (sorry if its wrong I did your name from memory!!)
I'll be heading out to a hobbystore and a hardware store today if I dont get this sorted out. Actually I did find a break in the wire, but its for my battery, and Ive concluded the battery isnt the issue. Thats a good thing cuz its more money in my pocket! LOL But yea I checked the fuse again. I'll make sure to post back here if I find anything else |

and what is the risk of not having a fuse in my gun? If i leave the battery in will it mess up the mech box?

Well I feared the results could be quite... severe to say the least
Im definitely going to use a fuse wire. Since I'm home for the summer, my dad can help me with making one. Thanks for all of your help! is there any way to post this thread as solved? |
