Flimsy XM8 Stock
The stock on my gws xm8 is very flimsy. So flimsy infact, that the glue (or whatever it is) has come apart. Have any of you other xm8 owners done anything to re-enforce the stock? If not, any suggestions?

do you mean the seam is splitting? if so, just pop it apart and spread jb weld or devcon between the two seams and on the posts, careful not to get it on the rubber accents or the stock channel (divots where the stock locks in place INSIDE the stock houseing).
if you mean that the stock housing itself is loose on the body, all you need to do, it get a piece of sear stock (pin) drill out and tap both ends (just like the locking body pins on an m16) so you can cinch the body and stock together. |

I fixed the seam form splitting (a little super glue did the trick). My only problem now is the part of the stock that extends wiggles left and right. I am worried the this will, over time, cause the seam to split again. Anyone have any ideas?

hmmm, this is on a gws kit? thats odd, mine doesnt do that... yet... when you glued it back together, the seams matched up egsactly, there were no gaps? the only reccommendation i would have would be build up around the actual collabsable stock (only those little poppet tabs lock it in place so it doesnt matter what you do to the stock) give it less room to move, know what i mean?
