G19-UPGRADES

Hey All,

Okay deal is I got myself a nice G19 WH with metal slide, I'm looking for all the information i get about upgrading it. ie, better springs and valves and all that fun stuff. Also I took it part and realized that my inner barrel o-ring is missing half of its self. So looking for one of those too.
Anyone gots some suggestions and/or information I could read up on please let me know.

If you have a metal slide I would suggest a Better recoil spring and High flow valve. As for brand I used HurricanE and Iam kinda regreting it my valve craped out on me so I need a new one but that is just one story I might have gotten a lemon.

Is this a Doctor's Corner problem or an Upgrades topic? What do you want to do exactly? Does the gun need upgrades or just repairs?

It needs upgrades but It also needs a inner Barrel rubber o-ring.. thats a doctors corner problem right? Anyone know where i can pick one up.

Yes, o-rings can be found in most plumbing sections. I know, it's weird, but it's the truth.

Can also build up the O-ring area with tape. Put enough tape on it to be able to squeeze it into the outer barrel. Incidentally, the Glock have a fair bit of inner barrel wobble, so adding a thicker O-ring or building it up with tape will actually make your gun more accurate.

Enhanced recoil spring is a must (I even recommend them for stock G19s) and an enhanced hammer spring is a good idea too (a real pain to install and put back together) if using propane in hot weather. It doesn't add any fps, but it makes the gun more reliable as propane expands in the mag when it's hot and the hammer might not hit with enough force to release some gas.

And, if you want, get a tightbore and a metal mag catch. Not absolutely necessary, fun to have, but it's a GBB, so it'll never be a tack driver. Hi flow valves............ meh, not necessary IMHO, especially if you have more than one mag (I have 6, not about to pay $25 each for new valves.) I get around 340fps with my G19, get about 4" groups at 30ft, and can hit oil drums 100-120ft away pretty easily with 0.30g and 0.36g BBs.

If you have a dremel tool and a steady hand it's quite easy to turn a normal valve into a high flow valve.
A *very* small amount of dremelling where the hop up is can fix the annoying tendency that Glocks have to shoot to the left.

I've done this mod multiple times and recorded before and after velocity readings through my chronograph and have noticed almost no improvement in doing so. To me, it's not worth the time.
