KSC USP Compact Leaky Mag
Recently purchased some parts from another member, which included a leaky mag. Basically, once filled, it would hiss from where you put the nozzle to fill it. This is a really quick fix, and probably pretty lucky, but all I did was put a bit of Green Gas in it (not propane, but actual Green Gas), and let it sit a day or so. Filled it later at a game, no more leaks.
So next time you have a leaky mag, before you attempt to dismantle the whole damn thing, put a bit of Green Gas, and leave it for a while.

I believe that is because green gas contains lubricant of a sort.

All you need to do is unscrew the valve where you put gas in and apply some thick silicon oil there or greese, and it should be fine. Or you can just go buy a new rubber o-ring for it, which costs like $1.00 for 4 replacement ones at your local electronics store. |
