Price of mk6 hemlet
i recently bought a surplus British mk6 helmet with desert DPM cover. i paid $54.85 for the helmet, which is apparently real kevlar. I was curious if it is possible to get real kevlar this cheap, or if its a replica?

Sorry if I'm being a bit of a killjoy, but the 40 - 60 dollar range for ballistic quality helmets just seems way too low.
Random Google Search On "Ballistic Helmets" Maybe They're overpriced on the website, maybe you guys got a steal of a deal. But I wouldn't go trying to shoot yourself in the head with a 9mm to prove it is ballistic material. Come to think about it, shooting oneself in the head with a 9mm with any amount of protection could lead to sub-optimal results.
