Hammer spring problem WE g18c
Hey, I have a WE g18c with wii tech steel hammer and sear and fire pin in original housing. However, after around 600 to 700 rounds the hammer spring (the end that touches the housing) snaps off. Is this normal? I have replaced it twice with guarder reinforced 150% hammer spring.

I have had a WE Glock hammer spring break on me. It seems that WE over tempers their spring steel, causing them to break. Not very common, but it happens once in a while. Mine partially broke where it rests on the Hammer Assembly Housing, however it still functions.

Guarder hammer springs are manufactured incorrectly, and will snap after several hundred rounds at the bends. Your best bet is to acquire a UAC or Shooter's Design 150% hammer spring.
