Fire Selector Issue

Hey guys, I got a CM048 recently and just run into an issue where the gun will not shoot instead it half cycles or just seizes. I have been aware of the issue when I bought it but it's sort of getting annoying now and the only way to fix it is to switch it back to safety then it will shoot fine, however when I switch it to semi and fire the gun and then back to full auto it does the same thing again. Now, I'm new to airsoft and have not opened up a gun before so any sort of guides or good tips would be helpful too.

EDIT: After test firing it for a bit I have found that the it feels like the teeth inside are moving as I fire it more. I'm trying to see if I can find a thread that can help me out.
