KWA/KSC USP lower frame issue

Hi there,

I recently picked up a second-hand KWA/KSC NS2 USP full-size. Everything functions fine, but I discovered after my first day of shooting that there's a small crack developing in the lower frame. It originates right the pivot point for the magazine release, where the trigger guard meets the grip, and extends a couple centimetres from there around the corner of the magwell.

Whats the best way to go about fixing and securing this? A little superglue? For reference, it's a smoked gray translucent frame.

ABS Cement. This is a common problem with the tinted receivers. To keep them translucent, they can't add any binders or reinforcing agents to strengthen the plastic. Stronger plastics would raise the cost or be too soft.

Thanks! Any particular brand/strength preferred?

Any way I can reinforce points of stress before they start to crack?

I usually use plumbing type ABS available from hardware stores. Use sparingly, clamp if possible. But ti's only a stopgap measure. Once it's cracked, it's pretty much done. Cracking happens at stress points, so without changing the part (frame), it's still under stress. Run it until it pukes, then replace the whole thing.
