Just a silly question: is barrel length measured without the bucking installed? That's how I measured mine. Tx.

Just measured the barrel, it is 94mm long, so just about 10mm shorter than the TM barrel. Do you think it may still work?

I suspect that trying to fit a different bucking is a lot cheaper than fitting a new barrel, so I'll PM you about that. The cheapest Nine ball non-hop I saw was at Airsoft GI, just under $40.

Thanks!
94mm long? That's the Hi-Capa 4.3 inner barrel length (94.5mm). I'd recommend going with that barrel instead, then.

That's correct. Without the barrel installed.

So, a barrel with a hop up then? Still OK for short-range shooting?

Please PM me the price if you got these in stock, I'll also need the bucking for it.

Thanks for helping out!

Perfectly fine for short range shooting. Even my 3.5" Detonics is good out to 20 yards (granted, I'd have to take more time to get the target, due to the fat open sights it has and short sight radius of it), but Tokyo Marui can handle it.

I'm on your PM right now. Standby for lots of options... lol

Just curious: is there a TM-compatible bucking available that comes without the inner nub? I shaved the nub off my ripped bucking, covered it with a piece of shrink-wrap tubing, then used floss to make it airtight. The gun is no longer shooting high, the group size is about 1" at 5m, but there are occasional 2" flyers. I attribute these to an imperfect job I've done, and maybe the stock barrel - soon to be remedied.

Oh, and I can now shoot 7 mags on a single charge, used to be 5.

P.S. Forgot to ask: how about a KWA pistol bucking without a nub, is it available? My KWA KZ75 also shoots high.

turn the bucking inside out trim the nub down with a razor most of the way the use fine sand paper to smooth it out if you cant find a flat one, also try heavier bbs thatll reduce the effect the hop up has unless yer playin at a place that requires u to use .20's

Thanks, that's exactly how I did it, but the spot is still a bit rough. And I'm using .28g BBs already.

try wet sanding with the black sandpaper like 1000 or 2000 grit to smooth it out

Thanks, I'll do that. I was only using a diamond carving tip on my Dremel, didn't try sandpaper.

I came across a J-hop discussion, and am wondering if I should try filling the barrel opening with gasket maker or rubber silicone first, then slide the bucking over.

OK, I tried the TM-compatible barrel & bucking, and it's a bust. Similar but different... The worst part is, the TM barrel's OD is larger than Tanfoglio's stock - and stock also has a groove where hop up assembly holds it in place. In short, no easy way of adopting TM to fit a KWC gun.

I did send an email to KWC requesting spare bucking, but would be surprised if I get a reply.

In the meantime, I fabricated a 'J-hop' style thingy out of sculpting plastic, and put the torn bucking over it, followed by teflon tape & dental floss. Basically, made a non hop barrel, albeit not a tightbore. The gun shoots really well, groups are just under 1" from 5m, and there are no 'flyers'. However, I have no idea how long this contraption will survive.

If replacement factory bucking is not to be found, I'll have to learn some mold-making skills to pour my own. I'm so not looking forward to this.
