WE M16 and XM177 + G&P M203 problem!
Hi all!
So, I've got in my hands a G&P barrel mounted M203 40mm grenade launcher! I wanted to attach it to either my WE M16 or my WE XM177! But it doesn't fit on neither! Whenit come to the XM177, the forward attachment of the 203 seems too large to "lock into the XM's flash hider serration. As for the M16, it seems that the M16's barrel is too large, as I can't align the 203's screw holes, with the U shaped metal piece that is used to attach the front piece of the 203 with the barrel! Any help is appreciated!, I can take pics if necessary! Thanks!

Long Version?
I know Drake had to dremel and file his barrel to fit his. Look like it won't work well on the XM. Maybe you could use the rail mount and take the barrel clamp out of the equation.

I can't use the rail, since it's a barrel mounted version only!

Hmmm. You could sold this problem by buying a WE M4 from me!!!
Joking, you most likely will have to change flash hider and file the barrel. Sorry.

I suggest to shave of the XM flash hider...simple 5 min. job on a dremel...do not modify your launtcher...in case if you need to sell it later

Good idea! But I don't have a dremel! But I know someone who does!

There you go....problem solve and you can always purchase another hider for 20 something...if needed.... After you grind that thing use some fine grit sandpaper...or if you have use aluminium silicone rubber wheel bur |

Okay WTf? I didn't dremel or file my barrel. I had to file the mount on the M203 to widen it (I have a VFC M203 btw, not G&P).
Yours obviously mounted just fine, don't file your barrel. The problem appears to be the front mounting bracket... your flash hider might need to be straightened, too. reference: There should be a seperate bracket for the M16Ax. edit: M16 bracket looks like this: The M16 barrel doesn't have a notch/step for it, so that extension is required for correct spacing (it rests up against the front handguard cap)

Wait a second...Drake is right... now that I am using my home computer and not my cellphone...the last photo...well the hole aligns and the other photos... the mount is not even touching the screw holes?....or is the mounting braket too fat for the hider's grooves?....
