If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it feeds fine and fires at the same FPS, there's no problem.

Could also possibly be that the inside of the piston (the rubber seal in there, sometimes called a piston cup) needs a lube as well. If it's dry the piston won't cycle very well (that includes retracting).
