I Need Opinions
Hey guys, could you help me choose which pistol to get? Please post your opinions on the prices and whether they're decent or a rip-off.
All pistols are gas blow-back & metal slide Skeleton Sidearms SS 226 - $190/280fps KJWorks Glock 23 - $210/290fps KJWorks M9 Military - $220/320fps KWA USP .45 - $240/330fps Also, how big is the difference between Metal Slide vs. Full Metal? I appreciate any help. Thanks for reading! oh, and if you're in Toronto, here's the place I'm ordering from. http://www.chigunhobbies.com/catalog...me=GBB_Pistol_ Last edited by mike.d; January 10th, 2011 at 16:45.. |

Are these Canadian prices or American? It would help if you filled in the profile a bit more so we know where you are from. The difference in prices for all the guns you listed are reasonable based on the make and quality of the gun. Preference of pistols is solely up to t he individual cause what you listed are ALL different for different reasons. I personally like Glocks and not 1911's but that's just me. I guess you can say that it's just as subjective as asking what type of music you should listen to. We do have a search function here to read reviews and discussions on various styles of pistols. It wouldn't hurt to do a bit of research yourself. Shot at 2011-01-11 Cheers, FACE. Last edited by FACE; January 11th, 2011 at 10:57.. |

The SS P226 is a piece of shit.
Go for the KJW M9 or the KWA USP. Those are good, solid choices. The KJW Glocks have some problems sometimes. |

I'll have to concur with Styrak about the KJW M9, got one, beasts they are. The trigger spring on them tend to break after a few thousand shots though. As for the KJW glocks, My brother and I both have one, they both went through a few thousand and no problems yet. Probably just fortunate though. as for the other pistols, I cannot give you an answer.

Dude, even if he's 15, I wouldn't care, at least the OP was formatted in a coherent way with proper grammar. I would actually give him a chance.
OP: I would go for the KWA. I have the KSC Glock 19 and KSC Mk. 23 myself, (KWA used to be a subsidiary before the companies split) awesome guns (except my Mk.23 which I'm the third owner of, and it's missing the slide catch, remedied by a nail to hold the slide.... but I will purchase a real slide catch from KWA once the KWA "Specwar" comes out). Honestly though if I had more money I would spring for a TM but fact of the matter is that I'm a student (on an international exchange at that) and I can't justify spending money on a TM pistol so KSC/KWA is a pretty good second bet, and since they're used as secondaries anyways I'm quite happy with the performance. Now if I was rocking it as a primary then it would suck a lot of balls given it's accuracy and all that but as a secondary/backup pistol it's perfect. TL;DR version: I'm quite happy with my KSC (Marketed as KWA for US/UK markets). The relationship is kind of complicated but know that KSC/KWA use the exact same parts and used to be the same company before KWA splintered off and started doing production by themselves.

Helping him pick out a gun is no better than telling him where to get them.

Of the pistols which one has the cheapest mags to buy? That might be a deciding factor.

KWA USP, The difference between a metal slide and full metal USP is that the metal slide USP has a polymer body, and the full metal USP has no body.
