WE 1911 slide wont go back on
This problem is probably a stupid question with a simple answer, but basically what happened is I got the thing and was curious so I was playing with it. I press in the one button that apparently releases the safety clip and it fell out. So I take the slide off, stick it back in, then slide the top back on and it wont lock in. I can pull it back all the way and slide it back but it wont stay on.
God I feel like such an idiot :| hopefully one of you can help me. This is obviously my first pistol if ya couldn't tell. Last edited by timberwolf61; October 20th, 2010 at 16:34.. |

Agh my phone is acting up and wont connect, but
Red circle is the part that I put back in, in the blue circle in my gun there's a space where the spring is visible. It slides back as much as it used to but it wont lock back in. |

LOL...
*START* - TAKE the mag out In the pic...look at the top of the right end of the slide catch (the red circled part)...there's a little nub on the top of it...remember that nub Take the slide catch out... Slide the slide on...rack it back until the little notch (the smaller of the two in the pic...the one that's almost at the red circle) of the slide is just about where the nub of the slide catch would be. Put the slide catch in...make sure it's lined up with the little notch...press it in place (sometimes they snap/pop in place). Rack the slide back all the way, let it go forward. Point in a safe direction...pull the trigger. It should be working. Don't shoot your eye out. |
