Thumbs down Cracked WE PDW bolt carrier

Edit: i think I have the name wrong: please correct me if so.

Just bought my WE KAC PDW the other week, brand new. This is my first gas rifle I have ever owned so I wanted to take a peek inside. I opened it up to today to find this:

I have only shot around 200 bb's through it. Propane, and barely any full auto. Just wanted to get some peoples opinions on this problem. Should I continue until it breaks apart, or replace it right away? Any one else have this problem? Which is the best replacement?

Thanks in advance

Its WE...its part of the experience...lol

PDW is still new, so I'd imagine a few replacement and redesign is still coming....their M4 and SCAR went through this phase as well...

The M4's are pretty solid now, like Maniac said its still new, WE parts are easy and cheap to get so if something breaks now and then it should not be a big problem.

Bob,

exact same problem here. in the same place. I'm guessing its a manufacturing issue. I heard they fixed some problems they had by coming up with the open bolt system, maybe you should think of getting the conversion kit. Its cheap.

Don't forget you have to convert the mags (+$5 per mag) to use the open bolt system, and then the mag will only work with the open bolt system (until you change the mag back.)

EDIT: I'm sure RA-Tech will come out with some super reinforced parts for the PDW, they're just collecting reports and data for now...

They do sell mags already specifically ready for the open bolt system anyways, plus i think there is 1 mag modification kit that comes with the rest of the conversion kit.

But yes. you're right. Maybe worth waiting for the RA-Tech stuff to come out too.
