What are spacer for?
Hey there!
I've been looking up on some airsoft improvement upgrades for all types of bolt action sniper rifle lately, and I ran into a question... What is a barrel spacer? And what does it do?... The guy said "It'll help prevent the bending of the inner barrel"?... How does an inner barrel bend from normal use? I don't see it happening unless you abuse it. Let me know, thanks!. |

It keeps the inner stable so it does not shake around or vibrate during the shot. This helps keeps the BB going a little straighter and keeps your shots more consistent.

OH ok!..
So how do you make one? Like what type of material would you use?... I'm assuming foaming between the outer barrel and inner barrel? Since foam can be shock resistance. Or would some kind of soft wood be better? |

Aluminum. With double o-ring groove on the outside and inside.
Unless you have a metal turning lathe, you won't be able to make an accurate spacer. Especially since you can buy REALLY high quality ones for like 12$ |

Also, it said that most have o-ring on both inner and outer of the spacer, so does that mean pulling out the barrel would very difficult? |

But ya, they do stabilize the inner barrel and this increases the accuracy/consistancy. Is why most airsoft Armalites suck for that, they are only supported at the hop up, no where else. |
