Eagle Plate Carrier With Cummerbund

Okay this is the vest I want to get just have to decide what size to get. I realize there are only two sizes S/M and L/XL and I believe the L/XL has an extra Horizontal row of PALS webbing.

I'm 5' 9 1/2" tall 175lbs with a 38" Chest I'm in shape and I'm an Athletic Medium in clothing.

I'm leaning towards the L/XL to future proof myself should I put on another inch or two in the chest from workouts. Would also let me run a Large SAPI in the future giving me really good coverage given my height. I'm just not 100% sure, Large just might be HUGE for me.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm about your shape and I'd get the medium.

L would be for those with a fat belly or really large muscular build.

Even if you where to put another inch of mussle, I guess it will still fit you well.

Unless we are talking about chinese sizes.

im the same specs as you in terms of build (though im 5' 9", 150lbs), and i have the same vest that you are talking about. the S/M fits me fine. Get your gear as you get your clothes.

EDIT: forgot to add so there is no confusion. i look as if i were 175lbs cause of the gym and whatnot. so again, get the S/M. it will fit you great. the specific vest you are referring to is great. worth every penny.

im 6 foot 3 and 160lbs, and the medium fit me perfectly with out adjustment. there was a lot of adjustment available in the cumberbund and shoulder straps. get the medium, chances are you will be able to adjust it to fit just right

I've got the L/XL version and I'm 6'7" with a 38" chest, fits me fine, although I'd rather have it longer...

But that's just me

what size shirt do you where? if the answer is Large, than no, he shouldn't get the L/XL, but rather he should stick with medium.

I'm 6'1 220 42ish chest and I wore a L-XL and there was no adjustment left. The elastic of the cumberbund was showing on either sides. You have to remember fake plate are 1/4-3/8 thicker than real sapi. Add to that clothing and voila you're now a large.

Just throwing this in as well but I wore a med EI Land CIRAS for some time and it was perfect fit.

Plate carrier and armor carrier are truly NOT sized the same. Plate carrier will always be a wee bit smaller than proper armor carrier because they are worn when mobility is prefered over protection.
