Point Blank training SAPI plates

Hey guys,
I have found someone on Ebay selling Point Blank Training SAPI plates for a really good price!

I have ordered mine today and will let you know how they are.
From the description they are the same weight and all, but are Blue and not Ballistic.

These are the plates used by USMC for training. I know CF also has them but in Orange IIRC.

So for any of you who wants real weight but don't want to spend 300 ++ for a used pair of real SAPI this is your chance!

I will let you know everything on them once I get them in the mail next week hopefully!

Or take an airsoft SAPI plate, drill a hole in the top and fill it with sand. Done.

Done this, the weight is way too much, each plates goes for about 8 pounds lol. and if they are not totally filled, the plates will deform and can cause back pain because the surface as some bumps on it.

Other than weight, what is the difference between these and the replica airsoft SAPI plates? Are the the airsoft plates thicker, and if so, by how much?

Cheers guys.

No the airsoft ones are about the right size, but they're hollow plastic. These are obviously full (and most likely not el cheap-o plastic; looking at the ebay pic it looks like fiberglass and other stuff). The only thing is the airsoft ones seem slightly more curbed than they should be, but it might just be me (going from memory, don't have a real plate to compare with)
