Kwa/g&g/ca?
My G&P broke and frankly i would like something new. They don't really sell G&P m16 with RIS's out here.
Wich would be the best for me. I have to put in a: Modify ultra piston ( for all guns no matter what) G&P explosive piston head ( definalty would go in all the guns, Heard that the KWA one doesn't last long) G&P m160 motor if the ROF inst good with an 8.4v since i dont want to break my gun again im not going with a 9.6v I will also be buying an ACOG and a deep fire 6.02MM 509 length Tight bore barrel. Basically i would like to get my money's worth. G&P has the best gears but the 7mm bearing exploded and broke my gear =( I have G&G and Echo 1 mags since i heard that KWA doesn't accept all mags, if that is any help. Im really stuck here and unfortunately youtube doesn't have many videos of all 3 brands. |

Out of all those i would rate CA #1 followed by G&G and then KWA. CA makes a great durable gun that will take you to hell and back and working. btw, you know you can buy both bearings and gears right?

G&P is higher quality than CA.
You just have to open up the gear-box and re-build it properly. The materials G&P uses are superior... they just don't have good workers or quality control. GOD DAMN WORKER #6's GUNS ALWAYS BREAK! If you've already got an M16... and want a RIS.. why not just buy an M16 RIS and add it to your current gun? |

it depends on what you want out of the gun. kwa is apparently lipo ready. g&p is amazing from everything i have heard and ca is just awesome in my opinion ( i have had 2 and only the after market parts broke in either).
i think what amos is saying is that you could but a new upper with an m16 length barrel and just switch them out on your gun. and all you would have to do other than that is fix the internals for easy changes. |

^^ im kind of in a hurry alright i didnt expect my gun to break. i put money into that gun 300 dollars worth theres no reason it shoulda broke.
All my after market parts will not break because they are the best of the best. I didnt buy any cheap items besides the barrel since my friend had one right there for me. The piston i have is 50 dollars its the best piston out there and the motor is just like a Systema. |

Its late and not everyone is a night owl so responses maybe thin at this time.
If you are interested in a G&P M16 with a RAS, I can confirm that G&P does produce atleast one. http://www.gp-web.com/en/productspop.php?pid=1542 I would choose G&P over Echo and KWA, but that is a personal choice based on good previous experiences with G&P. Just because you buy the best of something does not mean it will negate all possible problems. If something is not installed properly or aligned properly then you could have issues. A person an drop 300 dollars of quality parts into a mechbox but if its not shimmed properly then it doesnt really matter how much the parts cost. If possible on your next build avoid bearings, if possible stick with bushings.

what parts broke ? and why arent you looking to just replace them and buy a new upper half to the gun, thus making it an easy switch for 2 options?

Fix your G&P or buy a new one.
Then, if your not confident yourself, take it to a shop for a complete clean up and shim job. Sometimes newer players (myself included) think they know what they are doing when they are assembling mechboxs, but really, miss a bunch of important issues regarding air-seals, shimming, compatibility, lubing .ect A well shimmed G&P is probably the best AEG on the market, with the possible exception of King Arms

Although far fetched, its entirely possible that there could have been an alignment issue with the new piston and gears. Due to the fact that the parts are from different companies there could have been an issue with compatibility. When you installed your new motor did you ensure that the motor height was adjusted correctly? If not, than that could have been the reason why your previously mechbox decided to cash out. The cheapest solution at this time would be to figure out what internal parts are damaged and replace them. Then swap out your front end for an m16 length rail.

you can always get modify smooth modulars, then just drop them in and your done.
if you want RIS rails why not just switch to magpul PTS heat shields? you can just remove the standard M4 ones and clip them in. |
