Trigger sticks on A&K M249

So after a burst of a few seconds the trigger on my A&K para sticks and keeps fireing. It does not do this all the time more like 30%. Is this what the reviews were refering about when they say that the trigger switch is 3mm too long and hit s the gears?

I've seen this problem on 2 different A&K's my team mates have. I've stripped them both down and know my way around the gun pretty well but for the life of me I can't figure out how it gets stuck. The thing that *seems* to fix this problem is tightening (ie. lowering) the trigger screw that pushes up on the electrical switch inside the mechbox. The screw is attached to the physical trigger mechanism and is located underneath the mechbox, so you'll have to pull the mechbox. Some blue locktite would be a good idea as I believe the vibrations cause the screw to work its way out.

I've also seen the electrical trigger switch get caught in the gears incident twice on 2 different guns...basically the gears suck the switch lever inside the mechbox and you can't stop the gun from shooting unless you cut the power.

You need to bend your trigger bar. Read this reveiw and you can see pictures of what needs to be done.

Bending the trigger bar (on the electrical switch) is to prevent the sector gear from catching it and sucking it into the mechbox, as stating on the Arnie's review posted (seen this happen twice). This is different issue than the one he is having. Even with rebending the trigger bar I still had problems with guns getting stuck on full auto. (see my first post for possible fix)

What do you do to stop it from firing, force the trigger forward, pull the battey or so on?

Are you sure it's not simply welding its self in place? to many volts can cause that to happen.

Crappy, malfunctioning switches that were rejects from the factory and snapped up by the crateload to throw into guns can be the cause of that, and more.

I have seen some real junk thrown into guns - literally malfunctioning switches. I'd suggest just swapping it out as a troubleshooting step if you can.
