TM Hi-Capa Hop up unit
I finally did it, I blew out the damn lug that holds the inner barrel in the hop-up unit. Mother F!
As some of you know that I have a race hi-capa and a PDI comp set that gets mounted onto the extended innder barrel. I don't know why, and for you guys out there who plan to buy the comp set that attaches to the inner barrel will get your hop-up unit destroyed from the impact of the slide bashing into the comp. Sucks ass where hop-up unit in the TM Hi-capa is 1 out of a million to find unless I buy a new hi-capa. Is there any other way to fix this? Or do I have to use a gay dumb way and hot glue gun the crap to make the inner barrel stay. |

1. Don't attach stuff to your inner barrel, it's supposed to be able to move around
2. Evike sells a hopup and inner set I belive, but it's Evike. |

You're screwed....Can't think of any way to fix that to take the impact stresses.
I set my comp just a hair off the end of the slide...so the slide doesn't actually smash into my comp (thus ripping the inner from the hopup). If I was set on fixing it...I'd index the location and drill/tap a set screw right through the side of the hopup and into the inner. But not like you do with a hand drill balancing it on your lap... Even then it probably wouldn't hold unless you changed your setup. |

Find a broken WE Hicapa for pieces...
There is TONS and the hop-up chamber is as good/as cheap as the TM. |

Hop-up for GBBs are very hard to find, and the TM hop-up unit is the best, that's what makes a TM a TM.. Argh. So I found thread tape, and I wrapped it, then I got glue gun, and glued the front of the hop-up. Now it works fine. Muahaha
The screw part wouldn't work as it goes into the chamber. But thanks. |
