How does Hotpower 11.1v Lipo Protection Circuit from Huang work??

I've just bought two of the lipo discharge protection boards from Huang that prevent your gun from firing when the cells are discharged too low.

How do these work? There is chinese on one side (no idea what it says) and on the other side is the power/reset switch.

I have a new Firefox 11.1v stick battery that is 20C and 1600mah that I've gamed once. I've plugged in both the mini connector and the 4 prong balance connector and connected it to my gun. I'm sure that I balanced and charged this battery fully just last night. The gun will not fire unless I hold down the power/reset switch with my finger. If I let go, it stops. What's going on? I don't have any way of individually checking the voltage in my cells at the moment aside from my balancer/charger's LEDs which tell me the battery is okay and fully charged. On a friend's lipo which once discharged too low - the balancer charger would flash both LEDs telling me battery error and it refused to charge it. Even the high end lipo chargers will prevent you from charging a lipo that has dropped too low. My charger is telling me the battery is okay.

I've tried both boards and they both do this. They won't let the gun fire unless I hold down the power reset switch. Once I let go of the switch, it stops. Is there something wrong with the boards or is it my battery?

I have, but I'm wondering if anybody here has bought them and tried them out or if they are specific to something. I will take my lipo to someone who owns a high-end hobby lipo recharger and get a reading of all my cells.

Huang was fast replying to me. Thanks!

I'm not sure what the problem with your protection circuit is but I have the same piece for my Hotpower 11.1V Lipo and it only goes off for the first time after I've fired like 3000rounds. And then I usually reset it and can go for another 300 rounds and then it gets less and less and eventually i can no longer reset it and have to go charge the battery.

YouTube - lipo discharge protection board strange behavior

Doesn't seem to work for my batteries. Maybe they are incompatible or my batteries have a problem I didn't know about. Either way, I'll have the voltage reading for the cells done asap. Huang says the product works so I trust that. Probably just some wierd incompatibility with Firefox batteries. I have a Hot Power battery but it is 7.4v and so I can't use it on here.
