Military-Style Hand Signals.
Not exactly sure how much this could be used in the field, although it has great potential...
US Military hand signals for Ground Forces. Neat stuff, Enjoy. http://stevespages.com/zip/united_st...ember_1987.zip

we use hand signals grey, when your close enough you dont want to give away your position w/ radio chatter or when your scouting and not sure where the enemy is, but you know theyre close.
although these arent applicable, the swat hand signals are, heres the mock ones, i dont have the real versions... enjoy. |

Not to say that they are NOT used... but perhaps an outline to go over so these signals can be used MORE.

Basic signals that tend to be used relate to "I see something" followed by pointing in the direction of the sighting. "I hear something", followed by pointing. Directional hand signals for movement, etc.
They are pretty universal and easy to learn in a few minutes. More elaborate signal systems can be learned with more time. |

These signals might be better for the types of scenarios airsofters get involved in. Communicating tactical infantry movement as well as identifying the direction and number of threats silently can be key.
Many thanks to Practical Airsoft. Practical Airsoft's signals sound like they are based on British Territorial Army signals, but I couldn't give a damn. So long as they get the job done. ![]() |

Our team uses a combination of custom and basic hand signals which I find a lot of people prefer to stick to. Using the more complex ones are fun to do and helpful in the right situations, but sadly there aren't as many people who are familiar with them...either that or everyone just assumes no one else knows them.
