Stripped threads. HELP ME!

Hello everyone, as the title sais, i stripped the threads on my DYTAC URX4 rail system and now it wont stay on my receiver with whatever i do. Im not entirely sure on why or how it stripped because i was super gentle and when i first tried the whole rail system it wouldnt stay on. Anyhow long story short im stuck with the rail, but at least i got some of my money back. What are your solutions on fixing the stripped threads? Weld it? Glue it? Throw it away and get new ones?
P.S id love it if i could fix them since i really dont want to spend 115$ on a new rail system. If there are any ways of me fixing it i would gladly appreciate it. Thanks. If you require photos of the rail system i could provide.

This is the exact same rail. At first the little nut that threads ontop of the barrel had its threads worn out so i couldnt do much, after trail and error screwing and unscrewing it back on the rails threads got worn too.

As previously stated id love to get a fix for this instead of spending 115$ on a new rail system. Thanks.

Also if anyone has a machine shop that could get it fixed id gladly take it to them on a saturday to see if they can fix it. Id be willing to pay a bit of money to get it fixed.

Did you try teflon taping? :P

EVERYTHING! Im so frustrated because usually teflon tape fixes these kinds of things. It just completely tore the teflon tape apart.

Teflon tape will never be able to fix an issue like this.
Machine shops can only remove material, they can't add it on.

Either they were defective from manufacturer, you weren't gentle at all, or they built the rail out of cheese.

Your best option is to make a new barrel nut, oversize, and cut new threads into the RIS.

I hear you, I stripped a screw in a gearbox and ended up selling it for less money then I paid to someone who wanted it for a project gun.

Maybe a big wad of blue loc-tite? Might make it worse though in the long run.

Owning Airsoft and real steel rails, specially ptw ones. It is super easy to cross thread them if you don't lever the nut out before tightening. Hate to say it but your buying a new rail or atleast a new nut if that is what you stripped.

I was thinking of getting a piece of aluminum, threading it on the barrel nut and then drilling the rail onto it but the thing is i need a machine shop to do such a thing. I have no clue who has one nor am i able to do such a thing at home unfortunately.

Its such a shame this happened simce i now have 200 bucks to spend on GBB mags, knee pads and a battle belt but it seems i have to spend it all on the damn rail.

You could try some of that loctite thread repair compound.

Or attempt to drill/tap a set screw into the top side of the ris, get the barrel tightened down with the nut, get the ris sorta threaded on with the existing threads, position it and tighten set screw at 12:00 to pinch/lock it in place...

Ya i was thinking of the loctite soluction but since the nut thats really close to the inner barrel/outter is pretty close to the nut ill be applying it to, im afraid of locking down the whole system and then id need to buy a whole receiver.

So from what I read, it's the barrel nut that is stripped. If this is so why wouldn't you just get another barrel nut? If not one from the OEM then an aftermarket, drill and tap then mount.

Side note 1: I can't help but think that a repair kit for something that size is going to be just about as much as the part cost him.

Side note 2: what tool were you using to install the URX? one of these?

Upgrades & Modifications
