ICS > TM stock NEED HELP

Trying to put a ICS collapseable stock on my TM m4a1, the buffer tube wont slide on the body so ill have to put the ICS stock on the TM buffer tube, how do I get the ICS stock off the ICS buffer tube?

The lever that lets you retract the stock, pull it out as much as possible, and it will disengage from the tube.
