I've run maybe 500 rounds with propane/green gas through mine and haven't had any issues yet, but I wouldn't say that makes it safe, I've just been lucky.

It's a really nice gun and one day I'll be regretting it when the slide fractures, especially since a metal slide seems almost impossible to find for this gun. (If you aren't looking to spend $300 plus.) If you're attached to the gun then I'd say play it safe and stick to duster...
