I must say I have run into these "cheaters" and also have probably been hit and not felt it thus not called it and then pissed someone off and I'm sure it will happen to all of us if it hasn't.
The attitude that Brian has outlined above is definitely a good way to save yourself some stress if you run into this issue and is an attitude I share I'm glad someone has taken the time and effort to share some good views that should be in my opinion shared by this whole community.
