Shims are generally different gun to gun.
But if you didn't change the gears or shims and put everything in back the way it was yeah there shouldn't be an issue.
Still sounds like the motor adjustment screw. Sure you adjusted it enough?
And did you put the little silver disk on the end of the motor for the adjustment screw to push on?
