Note - to the quick eye, you may have noticed my post went from "good boot" to "shit boot". That's because I was confusing my Garrison boots with my Doc Martens, which actually out lasted my issued Garrison boots. Once I thought it through, I realised that my Garrison boots had in fact been the single most uncomfortable boots I'd ever worn, very hard on the feet and the extra-high uppers were prone to pinching the calves and leading to shinsplints.
