I got the Alta knee pads this morning, and I just so happen to be home from work, sick.
I've been wearing them all morning - both to see how comfortable they are, and how much protection they give as I'm on my knees, puking into the toilet.
...There really isn't a better day that these could have come.
Anyway, they're definitely more comfy than the kneepads I would wear when I was 10 on my rollerblades. It's got the hard protection on the outside, and nice padding on the inside. The "alta lock buckles" really do make it convenient to take them off and put them back on, once you've found a good tightness.
At $20-$30, you can't go wrong.
