It's a delicate game... my stock magazine catch seated the magazine too low resulting in poor gas efficiency and a bolt that wouldn't always lock back. Dropped in a DPMS Real Steel Magazine catch, the magazines sat much higher, creating that better seal Turok was talking about, and I haven't had a failure to lock back on this new catch.
It was a PITA to load for the first day or two, but it eventually broke in and things have been good since. If you do mod the magazine to sit lower, mod the catch, not the hole... A catch costs $3.50, a receiver at least $100.
