I just bought a new SIG 552, and the battery choice are limited which is ok, but I simply know nothing about LiPo battery or charger manufacturers, and I don't know what makes are good or bad. Educated opinions on this matter are highly appreciated.

That battery is probably fine too, although it is 0.5mm wider than
recommended by ICS...
My
experience is limited to the
V6AC charger from a local shop and the
Turnigy nano-tech batteries from Hobby King.
