when you insert a mag with fully loaded bbs but not cocking yet. There will be pressure from the bbs against nozzle(that's why it's better to remove one to two bbs) , and the pin for gas release valve against firing pin. You can try to compare the the difference before modify. First cock the charging handle and lock the bolt, then insert mag to see any difference. Second, remove the mag and release the bolt, then reinsert the mag see any difference. That could have a chance to find out what the problem is. Hope it help.

Edit: I have to smack them HARD to get them to seat. Sometimes it's fine with the bolt locked back, other times I still have to smack 'em.
