There's plus or minuses to both systems. You said you planned on modifying your M4, I'd say go WE. Cheap-ish start off costs and the upgrades aren't ridiculous either. Combine that with IMO, good-great aesthetics and it works for my expectations.

WE fits my budget and my plans for future builds. It may not fit yours, so I'd suggest see all 3 systems in person first. All have good and bad points.
