OK. So i have found out why the slide would sometimes return gritty after several hours of examining the gun. The cause was that the hammer was down but a small catch lever didnt do it job so the hammer had all its tension on the slide causing it to stiffen.
Solution. Cock the slide back by gripping the rear of the slide.
Hope that helps anybody but my gun is still..... a useless piece.
