May I also add Ares guns into the mix? They've been surprisingly outstanding in quality and come at a fairly cheap price for some starter models (Think the Classic M4 Carbine at $350, its full metal, and, according to my gun tech, LiPo ready internals... which is good if you haven't read up on LiPo batteries yet). Also nowadays a G36 isn't a bad route to go down as well, with Ares' G36C going for about $350 as well. The only downside I've found with G36C's is finding mags.
