For a WML, i would want 100 lumens minimum. Hell, the surefire light on my RS Mossberg is 100 lumens. It's great. As for protecting the lens, pick up a set of lens protecters from Amos. They are virtually indestructible and can take direct BB hits. I put them on my scope and light (back when i played airsoft).
