I agree ..... I had to do this to my SCAR. I tried the boiling water thing and it did not work. I had to saw blade it off, take a butter knifeto the slice you put int he plastic flash hider and separate it a little. Than use a knife tip to clean all the threads individually. I also used a wire brush to clean all the glue in the threads. Also, I used an old flash hider I didn't care for, attached a pair of vise grips to it and turned it on and off the threads over and over again to finish taking the glue out of the threads. Just be sure you know what threads you have and don't cross thread the outer barrel.
