$250 for a WHOLE upper assembly, parts and all? Good luck with that.
Best you can do to get that, is to buy a complete new gun, and sell the complete lower half. Maybe you'll get $150 for it.
After that, throw on a cheap $100 metal slide, and hope it doesn't chew up your plastic chamber over time.
A complete secondary upper assembly, with metal slide for $250.
It's the only real way to do it so that you can get all of the 5.1 components...
Or if you can wait, I'm in the process of producing a conversion kit, that allows users to transplant 4.3 internals in to a 5.1 length slide, and vice versa. Price is not set yet, but I'm looking to do it for less than $350. It will be full metal - aluminum slide, steel fixed outer barrel, and matching spring guide rod. The scalloping on the slides will be appropriate for the conversion, or custom solutions can be provided for mixed open sight solutions.
