im still debating weather to so the slide or not

If you stripped the paint, and haven't put a clear-coat on it, I think you will want to put a coat of something on it to prevent it from oxidizing (basically rust)

JimboG86 May 28th, 2009 18:30

oh yea for sure im doing that but not till after i get it engraved tomorrow

MikeMcNair May 29th, 2009 08:48

that looks really nice, but i would be afraid if you had a metal mag release that it would scratch it.

i say powder coat that bitch like this.,.....

JimboG86 May 29th, 2009 09:41

lol, i never eve noticed

LyquidFyre May 29th, 2009 09:56

What did you use to remove all of the paint? Sandpaper and elbow grease I assume?

JimboG86 May 29th, 2009 10:03

Yea i started with 400grit, then jumped right to watersanding with 2000 then polished the hell out of it. I didnt do the whole thing just the sides and front, that back is still black and the top, I thought it would look better then all steel. And i should be heading out later today to get it engraved and then im going to fill the engraving with 24k gold flake.

MikeMcNair May 29th, 2009 11:10

what are you engraving on it?
