hydration packs in Canada.

Hello,

I have googled with limited sucess. I am looking to purchase a hydration pack. I want a "stand alone" model that holds 3-5L and in OD or some similar shade of green. Any sources within Canada that you could direct me to would be greatly appreciated. Yes, I am aware of ASC Mart and the Pantac available...

Is Camelbak the "best" quality?

One thing that is important to me is the quality of the bladder and hose/bite valve materials. Food grade not Chinese "good enough" preferred.

Thank you for any and all help in this matter.

Try Craigs List.

I haven't seen any 5L bladders... 3L is the most common.

For Canadian sources for Camelbaks check out

www.sealsactiongear.com

I've only used Camelbaks for the last 6 years, taken them through lots of excercises, PT and a deployment in Afghanistan and I've never had a problem.

CamelBak does have a 5.9L model available but 3L is about average. As the previous post mentioned, try both DST and SEALS - each has great customer service.

I'm ALL over camelbak, I LOVE their packs, much nicer than blackhawk!
So what are you looking for exactly?
basic 3L pack? Thermobak
3L pack with cargo? Ambush
something more streamlined? Hotshot

It's not often I see OD camelbak stuff so I can't guarantee you it's availability, but you could always buy an OD hydrapack CARRIER, and buy a camelbak bladder separate!

My vote is for the SOURCE bladder. Best one I've used so far.
Absolutely no plastic taste!

Can't really suggest anything for a carrier though. I'd want a Camelbak HAWG if I was looking. Just enough extra storage. Anything more, and I'd just use my TAD FAST Pack.

I think MEC will mail things to Saskatchewan. Check the web site. They have tons to pick from and all i have gotten for biking from them have been great. They have replacement parts too.

I have beat the shit out of my CB.

Picture a 235 pound (back then lol) guy falling from a crouch onto his back, in full armor, 14 mags of 223 and an AR.

I did it all fucking day and I am still using the same bladder and holder. Three others burst on that course. None of them were Camelbak.
