My new toy ICS L85-A2

Hi ! Everyone, I just got this bad boy today so I feel want to share a few picture with you guy. Enjoy ! :)

I will write a review of this gun when I have free.

This gun is somehow pretty heavy than my Real Sword type 56 and G&P USMC SAM-R. That's all I can tell right now. A review will be up soon when I have free time.

Sorry guy that I post the picture but don't give detail to you.

Here is the video of the gearbox :

By the way, the price of this gun compare to my Real Sword is somehow less expensive than though so it won't cost your left hand testicle :)

I don't usually like bullpups, but ICS's L85 design is really impressive.

Bought one as well and its shorter than my CQBR so its my new indoor gun for the rest of the winter.

Just one comment from me. Everywhere you look it says "new design trigger" and other such things and there are videos of people pulling the trigger but I couldn't find anywhere where it talked about how the new trigger works. Instead of the trigger directly moving a block that goes between two contacts to fire the gun which can cause arcing especially if you pull the trigger slowly. With the ICS L85A2 there is a sear in there so when the trigger passes a certain point, regardless of how slow or fast you pull it, a spring snaps the contacts together way faster than a human finger can. This should greatly reducing arcing and makes for faster trigger response. The faster trigger response is because instead of the motor getting its initial power supply slower where when the contacts are close it starts to arc and the motor gets some power, then when they touch the motor gets all the power available. With this ICS its far more instantaneous.

I also much prefer the way ICS went with the mechbox instead of the split type found in the G&G and Academy L85's, its more like the STAR type with the removable spring guide, except the mechbox is a lot easier to get out of the receiver.

I have not found many useful internal reviews for this gun so when I upgrade it for high speed I will try to remember to take lots of pictures and give an internal review, unless KND beats me to it.

KND December 30th, 2008 18:06

huh ! I don't plan to upgrade anything yet because usually every time I upgrade gun, it always end up at my buddy's hand so this one will be stock for a while until next summer I think or maybe until he already fix my old gun first.

By the way, Do you find out this gun is a little bit heavy ? I carry a lots of gun but this beast is much heavy than any guns that I used to hold before especially the weight at the end of this gun.

If it is anything like the STAR L85.. yeah its heavy.. almost a heavy as a real one ( loaded )

Certainly heavier than most airsoft guns..

One of the complaints about the RS L85 is its weight...

You will get used to the butt heavy weight distribution .. just tote it around a bit..

3 point sling works well with this weapon.. one point... not so much
