HomeMade Silencers

I'm looking for some instructions to make a homemade silencer for the CYMA AK-74u i will be getting. I'm too lazy to order one from another retailer again so can someone provide a link please? I've looked everywhere but no luck.

Thanks, ernie

it's illegal in Canada to make ANYTHING that resembles a suppressor or could be taken as a suppressor.

Just tape a potato to the end of your CYMA :D

Lol, then what about the thousands of airsofters with "silencers" on their guns?

Lol. In the movie The Killers the silencers/suppressors looked like big soup cans.

If you are caught making something that looks like a suppressor you go straight to jail, there is no "its a toy defense" unlike an airsoft gun.

Why doesn't the op just ask for plans for a "prop pipe bomb" and see how well that would turn out lol. :D

As for the the "thousands" of airsofters with "silencers" 99% of them were purchased legally from airsoft retailers. Owning one made in a factory is a little different, if you are caught making one make no mistake that you will be charged for it. As for "factory" made ones, you can at least explain that it's a non-functional prop.

The classifieds has tons of suppressors listed for sale, would be allot easier just to buy one....

Thanks Drache, that was a helpful post compared to your first one.... ill look into it i guess

Plastic pop bottles is another one I see all the time. It SEMI works for the first shot but does jack shit for the second or third shots.

Actually I HAVE been pulled over while living in Kamloops and the trunk WAS full of airsoft guns. They were searching everyone's cars for an escaped inmate or some other crap like that. I told them exactly what they were and the cops knew what airsoft was infact albiet not as "cool" (direct quote) as these.

Best be nice and persuasive and hope for a sympathetic officer.

It has happened to me on a roadtrip with some other guys (and alot of guns). The cop turned out to be an ex-paintballer and thought it was a cool idea.

Erennert November 22nd, 2008 23:17

So, does anyone have any links? Or should i just buy one from a retailer near me?

Drache November 22nd, 2008 23:22

buy one from a retailer! so much easier lol! :D
