G19 Weak/no Shots after Hammer Assembly was Disasembled.

So several days ago i received my Shooters Design steel impact hammer. After filling down the edges, as has been suggested to me, it fit into its place perfectly. I reassembled the hammer assembly which took about 20 minutes after using some tape to hold that dam impact hammer in a horizontal position (those of you who have done this before know what im talking about). I try pulling the trigger several times with the slide off, and recooking it with my thumb and everything seems to be working just as it did before.

When i put the slide back on, lubed everything up, and put the mag back on i was feeling pretty confident that this was a successful upgrade. I pull the trigger and SPEEEWWWWWWWW... all the gas in the mag spews out. I try again, and this time it shoots several EXTREMELY weak shots which are unable to push the slide back far enough to complete its cycle and re-chamber a bb.

So i take my gun apart again and i notice that the hammer spring seems to be sitting a little lose, everything else seems to be in place. I have taken apart the entire assembly several times to look for anything that i might have done wrong during the re-assmebly procces, but everything seems like it SHOULD be working...

I made a video and uploaded it to youtube so if you guys want to take a look, here it is.

I'm out of ideas, so any useful advice would be appreciated
If anything is unclear, just ask.

Stop dry-firing without the mag in! The metal piece that pushes on the mag's valve receives a lot of stress this way. Mine broke and finding a replacement was a huge headache.

As for your problem - your hammer spring is definitely loose. In all likelihood, the bottom side of the spring (the one not pushed against the hammer) is not seated correctly. There is a "ledge" behind the hammer, on the left side (if the gun is pointing away from you). it's very narrow but this is where the other end of the spring needs to sit.

Hope this helps!

Edit: I just realized my advice about the dry-firing came too late!

The impact hammer is the part that i replaced... It is a stainless steel part - not the stock pot metal POS part.

Why would the gas all be released one time and then the other times it does not release enough gas?

Yeah, I saw your other threads after I replied. You certainly won't have to worry about that steel part breaking!

Obviously not enough gas would be released because of the loose spring. The other times, the slide may not be blowing back because it's stuck on the spring. Or something. You should check to see if the spring is properly seated against the frame. You only need to take the slide off.

Yeah... that makes sense. The hammer assembly is unassembled right now, so ill go look at it and see if i can get the spring to sit properly on the ledge like you suggested, thanks.

So i repositioned the spring and it fits fine now... unfortunately the gun still does not fire correctly. When i pull the trigger it shoots, but again, is extremely weak and does not have enough power to cycle the slide completely. Has anybody else had this issue?
