Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 Tactical Workhorse

Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 Tactical Workhorse

Built this on another brand new Hi-Capa... 4.3 length this time and was aiming for more of a "Tactical & Practical Workhorse" piece.

Internally, there isn't much done - just an Airsoft Surgeon Light Weight blowback unit for lighter and faster performance of the slide along with a Shooters Design POM Cylinder Set for durability, since the stock one is prone to breaking under higher pressure.

The 4.3 was a great platform for this piece - with a shorter stroke length than the 5.1, lighter slide weight plus the full length limited frame, it is both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The looks and the feel are enhanced with the Tanio Koba tactical grip which gives a familiar single-stack feel and look to the gun.

The integrated lanyard loop allows attachment of a tactical retention device to prevent loss of the weapon.

Matched up with low profile Novak type rear combat sight and a dotted front sight, this low drag setup minimizes chances of catching the sights on any gear as you draw it for use.

The undermount rail allows for attachment of weapon lights, lasers, or light/laser modules.

The Airsoft Surgeon CNC machined T6061 aluminum metal slide provides lightweight, strong, precise and smooth movement throughout its entire stroke while serving as a very durable part. If you've seen an Airsoft Surgeon slide before, you'll know that their slides are top-notch and rival, if not surpass the quality of even Shooters Design metal slides in fit and finish. And if you haven't seen one yet... well... you have to.

Performance-wise, this gun has a lot of potential, but other than the blowback unit and Shooters Design POM Cylinder kit, it's all stock and chronies @ 275fps on propane shooting 0.20g BBs.

The light weight blowback unit was chosen to minimize slide weight and to allow a relatively light performance using stock springs and stock flow valves.

I have way too many... I build them faster than I can take photos of them. I take photos of them faster than I can process the photos.

I have photo sets of three more Hi-Capas waiting to be processed, two or three more hi-capas that need to be photographed and about 5 more Hi-Capas that still need to be built.

... hmm... okay, make that 6 more Hi-Capas. I just found another part I wanted to build another project around.
