Painting MultiCam !

Hey guys,

I don't know how much of you guys have tried to paint your airsoft MultiCam.
I managed and came by some paintball website (http://www.x7og.net/x7-mods-upgrades...-paintjob.html) that shows a great way step by step way to paint MultiCam.

Here's one of the pictures from the forum.

Sorry, those are not my pictures. Credits do not go to me. Haha.

But yeah, I think they are nice paintjobs. I'd do that to my Mp5, but mp5's should stay black always. :)

Unless it's call of duty 4, then red tiger is the way to go!!

Didn't read the article, but Krylon paints are pretty effective if you let them cure properly. There was an article on AR15 where somebody there painted one of his black rifles and posted a step by step with photos.

Her is my wife's mask that she has been working on over winter. I highly recommend the Krylon flat clear to go over it for several coats for protection. It also helped bring down the shine of the brown. Think many many coats.

It was taking apart, primed and painted the tan first and then the rest using a series of negative stencils made of painters tape and a spiral x-acto knife.

She is pretty happy with the results.

surprisingly no. i am able to use my iron sights on my Tanaka Kar98k with it, and use my scope perfectly on my M14.

FOX_111 March 23rd, 2009 14:13

But you need to tilt your head to do so right?

ujiro March 23rd, 2009 14:28

Yeah that's the only reason I don't like masks, if you are able to see through your iron sights or optics, you generally have to tilt your head at a pretty aggressive angle, so it become quite uncomfortable.

I was taught to take the lower half of a Sensei mask and ziptie it to Ess NVG goggles. They have GREAT cheek weld. :)

Now I've got a project to spray my Sensei lower to multicam :)
