What the fuck? Did those words travel directly from your ass to the keyboard?....

In answer to the thread:
I usually put my tags on whenever I'm going out in the bush, force of habit maybe, and I don't like carrying my wallet in the bush if I don't have to, so it's nice to have an extra piece of ID on me just in case something does happen.

I don't know what Jarhead is on about, but yes, if you're trying to portray an impression, then yes, by all means dog tags are great...vietnam era for example.

And at the same time, gandar has a point. I've considered getting dog tags with my name, Health Card #, and blood type on them, JUST in case of an emergency in the field. Why waste time having someone dig through your gear, just to find your car keys so they can then run back and try to figure out what car is yours, then try and find your wallet so the paramedics can determine what your blood type and allergies are?

If your wearing tags and your not really military, I doubt a civilian paramedic will use the information on them. I dont know my blood type, my blood type is no where in my wallet on any of my ID's, and a quick test is so fast and easy I dont think a paramedic/hospital can use the info on tags if your a civi. Thats what I was told when I brought up dog tags once on an airsoft forum (cant remember whether it was here or on ottawaairsoft.com).

Plus, dont paramedics just use plasma to avoid the blood type problem? I'm not sure there.

And actually I do wear tags in games just for shits and giggles, one has a quote from somewhere I forget and one has my name, birthdate, and callsign on it.

Actually, I believe there is a small movement amongst joggers encouraging people to wear some sort of ID tag because of a few cases of joggers not bringing a wallet and randomly passing out/becoming incapacitated for what ever, and no one able to find out who they were for a bit. Even if it has a name, I'm sure the paramedics can at least use THAT. At least it makes it easier to track down a next of kin to say "hey look, we've got your son/daughter/husband/wife here, you might want to come down here"

quikstrike May 24th, 2006 23:03

Ah cool man, I have a few pairs laying around, but they are hella old.
But hey like I alway say, whatever floats your boat.
If you want to wear tags, go right ahead. If not. Well then... don't.. Hah.

And Jarhead, if its that time of the month, go somewhere else until its over. Or just don't post negative crap, and if you really want to, at least make it make sense.

kthxbye.(yanhchan haha)

p.s in the amount of time, as you notice from the other posts, someone has posted a link, so now when someone searches for Canadian Dog tags, they will have links, so chillax.

If you don't have the answer, why even bother postin? Just clutters stuff and makes people have to post more because they cant find thier answer.
